Pancrelipase is a pancreatic enzyme product consisting of a mixture of enzymes including lipases, proteases, and amylases and is an extract derived from porcine pancreatic glands. The enteric-coated spheres in CREON are formulated to release pancreatic enzymes at an approximate pH of 5.5 or greater. CREON (pancrelipase) delayed-release capsules are for oral administration, include a two-piece shell containing tan-colored enteric-coated spheres (0.71 mm to 1.60 mm in diameter), and are available as follows: 3,000 USP units of lipase; 9,500 USP units of protease; and 15,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules with shells that contain hypromellose and titanium dioxide, and that also may contain carrageenan and potassium chloride. 6,000 USP units of lipase; 19,000 USP units of protease; and 30,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules with shells that may contain gelatin, hypromellose, carrageenan, potassium chloride, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, FD&C Blue No. 1, and FD&C Blue No. 2, red iron oxide, and yellow iron oxide. 12,000 USP units of lipase; 38,000 USP units of protease; and 60,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules with shells that may contain gelatin, hypromellose, carrageenan, potassium chloride, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, black iron oxide, red iron oxide, and yellow iron oxide. 24,000 USP units of lipase; 76,000 USP units of protease; and 120,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules with shells that may contain gelatin, hypromellose, carrageenan, potassium chloride, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, red iron oxide, and yellow iron oxide. 36,000 USP units of lipase; 114,000 USP units of protease; and 180,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules with shells that may contain gelatin, hypromellose, carrageenan, potassium chloride, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, FD&C Blue No. 1, and FD&C Blue No. 2. CREON (pancrelipase) delayed-release capsules include the following inactive ingredients: cetyl alcohol, dimethicone, hypromellose phthalate, polyethylene glycol, and triethyl citrate.

INDICATIONS For the temporary relief of minor abdominal pain or cramps, gas or bloating, mild constipation, heartburn, or periodic nausea.*

PANCREAZE (pancrelipase) delayed-release capsules are for oral administration and include a two-piece shell containing enteric-coated microtablets that are each approximately 2 mm in diameter and are available as follows: 2,600 USP units of lipase ; 8,800 USP units of protease; and 15,200 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a light orange opaque body and clear cap imprinted with "VIVUS" and "MT 2". The shells contain hypromellose, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide, red iron oxide and imprint ink contains black iron oxide, shellac, propylene glycol, strong ammonia solution, potassium hydroxide. 4,200 USP units of lipase ; 14,200 USP units of protease; and 24,600 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a yellow opaque body and clear cap imprinted with "VIVUS" and "MT 4". The shells contain hypromellose, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide, and imprint ink contains black iron oxide, shellac-glaze-45%, ammonium hydroxide, propylene glycol. 10,500 USP units of lipase; 35,500 USP units of protease; and 61,500 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a flesh opaque body and clear cap imprinted with "VIVUS" and "MT 10". The shells contain hypromellose, titanium dioxide, red iron oxide, and imprint ink contains black iron oxide, shellac-glaze-45%, ammonium hydroxide, propylene glycol. 16,800 USP units of lipase; 56,800 USP units of protease; 98,400 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a flesh opaque body and clear cap imprinted with "VIVUS" and "MT 16". The shells contain hypromellose, titanium dioxide, red iron oxide, yellow iron oxide, and imprint ink contains black iron oxide, shellac-glaze-45%, ammonium hydroxide, propylene glycol. 21,000 USP units of lipase; 54,700 USP units of protease; and 83,900 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a white opaque body and cap imprinted with "VIVUS" and "MT 20". The shells contain hypromellose, titanium dioxide, and imprint ink contains yellow iron oxide, shellac, strong ammonia solution, propylene glycol. 37,000 USP units of lipase; 97,300 USP units of protease; and 149,900 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have an iron grey opaque body and white opaque cap imprinted with "VIVUS" and "MT 37". The shells contain hypromellose, titanium dioxide, black iron oxide and imprint ink contains black iron oxide, shellac-glaze-45%, ammonium hydroxide, propylene glycol. PANCREAZE (pancrelipase) delayed-release capsules include the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid ethyl acrylate copolymer, microcrystalline cellulose, montan glycol wax, simethicone emulsion, talc and triethyl citrate.

PERTZYE (pancrelipase) delayed-release capsules are for oral administration, include a two-piece hard gelatin shell containing light tan/cream-colored bicarbonate-buffered enteric-coated microspheres ranging in size from 0.8 to 1.4 mm in diameter for 4,000 USP units of lipase and 0.8 to 2.2 mm in diameter for 8,000, 16,000, and 24,000 USP units of lipase, and are available as follows: 4,000 USP units of lipase ; 14,375 USP units of protease; and 15,125 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a clear body printed in green with "4" and a clear cap printed with a green circular stripe and "DCI". The imprinting ink on the capsule contains FD&C Blue #1, D&C Yellow #10, black iron oxide, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, shellac, and ammonium hydroxide. 8,000 USP units of lipase ; 28,750 USP units of protease; and 30,250 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a clear body printed in blue with "8" and a clear cap printed with a blue circular stripe and "DCI". The imprinting ink on the capsule contains FD&C Blue #1, ethanol, methanol, n-butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, shellac, and ammonium hydroxide. 16,000 USP units of lipase ; 57,500 USP units of protease; and 60,500 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a clear body printed in red with "16" and a clear cap printed with a red circular stripe and "DCI". The imprinting ink on the capsule contains FD&C Red #40, povidone, titanium dioxide, dehydrated alcohol, sodium hydroxide, butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, and shellac. 24,000 USP units of lipase ; 86,250 USP units of protease; and 90,750 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a clear body printed in purple with "24" and a clear cap printed with a purple circular stripe and "DCI". The imprinting ink on the capsule contains FD&C Blue #2, D&C Red #7, titanium dioxide, strong ammonia solution, propylene glycol, butyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, dehydrated alcohol, and shellac. PERTZYE (pancrelipase) delayed-release capsules include the following inactive ingredients: cellulose acetate phthalate, diethyl phthalate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, sodium starch glycolate, talc, and ursodiol.

VIOKACE (pancrelipase) tablets are for oral administration and available as follows: 10,440 USP units of lipase; 39,150 USP units of protease; and 39,150 USP units of amylase as a tan, round biconvex tablet and have VIO9111 engraved on one side and 9111 on the other side. 20,880 USP units of lipase; 78,300 USP units of protease; and 78,300 USP units of amylase as a tan, oval, biconvex tablet with V 16 engraved on one side and 9116 on the other side. Inactive ingredients in VIOKACE include colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid and talc.

ZENPEP (pancrelipase) delayed-release capsule for oral administration, include a two-piece shell containing light brown-colored enteric-coated pellets (1 . 8 to 1.9mm for 3,000 and 5,000 USP units of lipase, 2 . 2 to 2.5 mm for 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 25,000, 40,000 and 60,000 USP units of lipase) and are available as follows: 3,000 USP units of lipase; 10,000 USP units of protease; and 14,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a white opaque cap and a white opaque body with imprint "APTALIS 3". The shells contain carnauba wax or talc, carrageenan, hypromellose, potassium chloride, titanium oxide, and water. The colorant of the printed ink is red iron oxide. 5,000 USP units of lipase; 17,000 USP units of protease; and 24,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a white opaque cap and a white opaque body with imprint "APTALIS 5". The shells contain carnauba wax or talc, carrageenan, hypromellose, potassium chloride, titanium oxide, and water. The colorant of the printed ink is FD&C Blue 2. 10,000 USP units of lipase; 32,000 USP units of protease; and 42,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a yellow opaque cap and a white opaque body with imprint "APTALIS 10". The shells contain carnauba wax or talc, carrageenan, hypromellose, potassium chloride, titanium oxide, water and yellow ferric oxide. The colorant of the printed ink is FD&C Blue 2. 15,000 USP units of lipase; 47,000 USP units of protease; and 63,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a red opaque cap and a white opaque body with imprint "APTALIS 15". The shells contain carnauba wax or talc, carrageenan, hypromellose, potassium chloride, red ferric oxide, titanium oxide, and water. The colorant of the printed ink is FD&C Blue 2. 20,000 USP units of lipase; 63,000 USP units of protease; and 84,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a green opaque cap and a white opaque body with imprint "APTALIS 20". The shells contain carnauba wax or talc, carrageenan, FD&C Blue #2, hypromellose, potassium chloride, titanium oxide, water, and yellow ferric oxide. The colorant of the printed ink is FD&C Blue 2. 25,000 USP units of lipase; 79,000 USP units of protease; and 105,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have a blue opaque cap and a white opaque body with imprint "APTALIS 25". The shells contain carnauba wax or talc, carrageenan, FD&C Blue #2, hypromellose, potassium chloride, titanium oxide, and water. The colorant of the printed ink is FD&C Blue 2. 40,000 USP units of lipase; 126,000 USP units of protease; and 168,000 USP units of amylase; delayed-release capsules have an orange opaque cap and white opaque body, printed with "APTALIS 40". The shells contain FD&C Yellow #6, hypromellose, and titanium oxide. The colorant of the printed ink is FD&C Blue 2. 60,000 USP units of lipase; 189,600 USP units of protease; 252,600 USP units of amylase. Capsules have a powder blue opaque cap with two black stripes and white opaque body, printed with "APTALIS 60 " The shells contain FD&C Blue #1, hypromellose, and titanium oxide. The colorant of the printed ink is black iron oxide. ZENPEP (pancrelipase) delayed-release capsules include the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, hydrogenated castor oil, hypromellose phthalate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, talc, and triethyl citrate.
