The chemical name for estazolam is 8-chloro-6-phenyl-4H- s -triazolo[4,3-α][1,4]benzodiazepine. The structural formula is represented as follows: Each tablet, for oral administration, contains either 1 mg or 2 mg of estazolam, USP. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, lactose monohydrate and magnesium stearate.
