Propylthiouracil is an antithyroid drug administered orally. The structural formula is: Each tablet contains propylthiouracil 50 mg and the following inactive ingredients: corn starch, docusate sodium, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, sodium benzoate, and sodium starch glycolate.
