Diclofenac sodium is a benzene-acetic acid derivative. Diclofenac sodium delayed-released tablets USP are available as delayed-release tablets of 25 mg, 50 mg and 75 mg for oral administration. Diclofenac sodium is a white or slightly yellowish crystalline powder and is sparingly soluble in water at 25°C. The chemical name is 2-[(2,6-dichlorophenyl)amino] benzeneacetic acid, monosodium salt. The molecular weight is 318.14 g/mol.
