Hydroxyzine hydrochloride is designated chemically as (±)-2-[2-[4-(p-Chloro-α-phenylben- zyl)-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy]ethanol dihydrochloride. The structural formula is as follows: Inactive Ingredients for Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride Oral Solution, USP are: citric acid anhydrous, peppermint flavor, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate, sucrose and purified water.
