Acetohydroxamic acid (AHA) is a stable, synthetic compound derived from hydroxylamine and ethyl acetate. Its molecular structure is similar to urea: AHA is weakly acidic, highly soluble in water, and chelates metals - notably iron. The molecular weight is 75.068.
