Bumetanide tablets, USP are a loop diuretic available as 0.5 mg (white to off-white), 1 mg (white to off-white) and 2 mg (white to off-white) tablets for oral administration; each tablet also contains corn starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch (maize), sodium lauryl sulfate, and talc. Chemically, bumetanide is 3-(butylamino)-4-phenoxy-5-sulfamoylbenzoic acid.
