Desloratadine oral solution is a clear, colorless to slightly yellow solution containing 0.5 mg/mL desloratadine. It contains the following inactive ingredients: bubble gum flavor, butylated hydroxyanisole, citric acid anhydrous, glycerin, maltitol solution, polyethylene glycol 400, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate dihydrate, sorbitol solution and sucralose powder. Desloratadine, USP is a white to beige powder that is slightly soluble in water, but very soluble in ethanol and propylene glycol. It has an empirical formula: C19H19ClN2 and a molecular weight of 310.8.
