Verapamil hydrochloride is a calcium antagonist or slow-channel inhibitor. Verapamil Hydrochloride Injection, USP is available in 5 mg/2 mL single dose vials (for intravenous administration). Each 1 mL of solution contains verapamil hydrochloride 2.5 mg and sodium chloride 8.5 mg in water for injection. Hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide are used for pH adjustment. The pH of the solution is between 4.0 to 6.5. Protect contents from light. Verapamil Hydrochloride Injection, USP vials are sterile.
