Dexamethasone Tablets USP are available for oral administration containing 4 mg of dexamethasone USP. Each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, D&C Yellow No. 10 aluminum lake, and FD&C Blue No. 1 aluminum lake. Dexamethasone, a synthetic adrenocortical steroid, is a white to practically white, odorless, crystalline powder. It is stable in air. It is practically insoluble in water.
