Dicyclomine hydrochloride, USP is an antispasmodic and anticholinergic (antimuscarinic) agent available in the following dosage forms: Dicyclomine hydrochloride capsules, USP for oral use contain 10 mg dicyclomine hydrochloride, USP. Dicyclomine hydrochloride capsules, USP also contain inactive ingredients: ammonium hydroxide, calcium sulfate dihydrate, FD&C Blue No. 1, and FD&C Red No.3, gelatin, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, propylene glycol, potassium hydroxide, shellac, titanium dioxide. Dicyclomine hydrochloride, USP is [bicyclohexyl]-1-carboxylic acid, 2-(diethylamino) ethyl ester, hydrochloride, with a molecular formula of C 19 H 35 NO 2 •HCl and the following structural formula: Molecular weight: 345.95 g/mol Dicyclomine hydrochloride, USP occurs as a fine, white, crystalline, practically odorless powder with a bitter taste.
