Capecitabine is a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor. The chemical name is 5'-deoxy-5-fluoro-N-[(pentyloxy) carbonyl]-cytidine and has a molecular formula of C 15 H 22 FN 3 O 6 and a molecular weight of 359.35. Capecitabine has the following structural formula: Capecitabine is a white to off-white crystalline powder with an aqueous solubility of 26 mg/mL at 20°C. Capecitabine USP, is supplied as biconvex, oblong film-coated tablets for oral use. Each light peach-colored tablet contains 150 mg capecitabine,USP and each peach-colored tablet contains 500 mg capecitabine USP. The inactive ingredients in Capecitabine Tablets, USP, include: anhydrous lactose, croscarmellose sodium, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and purified water. The peach or light peach film coating contains hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, talc, titanium dioxide, and synthetic yellow and red iron oxides. Chemical Structure

The pH of the solution ranges from 5.0 to 7.0. Carboplatin, USP is a platinum coordination compound. The chemical name for carboplatin, USP is platinum, diammine [1, 1- cyclobutanedicarboxylato (2- )-0, 0']-, (SP- 4-2), and carboplatin, USP has the following structural formula: Carboplatin, USP is a crystalline powder. Gemcitabine hydrochloride is 2´-deoxy-2´,2´-difluorocytidine monohydrochloride (β-isomer) with the following structural formula: The empirical formula for gemcitabine hydrochloride is C 9 H 11 F 2 N 3 O 4 • HCl. It has a molecular weight of 299.66 g/mol. Gemcitabine hydrochloride is soluble in water, slightly soluble in methanol, and practically insoluble in ethanol and polar organic solvents. Gemcitabine for Injection a sterile white to off-white lyophilized powder and available as 200 mg and 1 g single-dose vials for intravenous use only. Each 200 mg vial contains 200 mg gemcitabine (equivalent to 227.6 mg gemcitabine hydrochloride), 200 mg mannitol and 12.5 mg sodium acetate. Each 1 g vial contains 1 g gemcitabine (equivalent to 1.138 g gemcitabine hydrochloride), 1 g mannitol, and 62.5 mg sodium acetate.
