Tetracaine Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution, USP 0.5% is a sterile, clear, colorless, topical local anesthetic for ophthalmic use only containing tetracaine hydrochloride as the active pharmaceutical ingredient. Tetracaine hydrochloride is chemically designated as benzoic acid, 4-(butylamino)-, 2-(dimethylamino) ethyl ester, monohydrochloride. Its chemical formula is C 15 H 24 N 2 O 2 ● HCl and it is represented by the chemical structure: Tetracaine hydrochloride is a fine, white, crystalline, odorless powder with a molecular weight of 300.82 Active ingredient: tetracaine hydrochloride 0.5% w/v (equivalent to 0.44% w/v tetracaine) Preservative: chlorobutanol 0.4% Inactive ingredients: boric acid, potassium chloride, edetate disodium dihydrate, water for injection. Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution 0.5% is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent. Its chemical name is (-)-1-( tert -butylamino)-3-[(4-morpholino-1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl)oxy]-2-propanol maleate (1:1) (salt). Timolol maleate possesses an asymmetric carbon atom in its structure and is provided as the levo-isomer. Its molecular formula is C 13 H 24 N 4 O 3 S-C 4 H 4 O 4 and its structural formula is: Timolol maleate has a molecular weight of 432.49. It is a white, odorless, crystalline powder which is soluble in water, methanol, and alcohol. Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution 0.5% is stable at room temperature. Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution 0.5% is supplied as a sterile, isotonic, buffered, aqueous solution of timolol maleate in a single strength. It has a pH of 6.5-7.5 and an osmolality of 275-330 mOsm/kg. Each mL of Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution 0.5% contains the active ingredient 5 mg of timolol (6.8 mg of timolol maleate) with the inactive ingredients benzalkonium chloride (0.05 mg/mL), monobasic sodium phosphate monohydrate, potassium sorbate 0.47%, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, and purified water. structural formula

Tolcapone tablets is available as tablets containing 100 mg tolcapone. Tolcapone, an inhibitor of catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT), is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease as an adjunct to levodopa/carbidopa therapy. It is a yellow, odorless, non-hygroscopic, crystalline compound with a relative molecular mass of 273.25. The chemical name of tolcapone is 3,4-dihydroxy-4'-methyl-5-nitrobenzophenone. Its empirical formula is C 14 H 11 NO 5 and its structural formula is: Inactive ingredients: Core: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, anhydrous dibasic calcium phosphate, sodium starch glycolate, povidone, talc, magnesium stearate, and purified water. Tretinoin Gel Microsphere, 0.1%, 0.08% and 0.04% is a white to very pale yellow opaque gel for topical treatment of acne vulgaris. Chemically, tretinoin is all-trans-retinoic acid, also known as (all-E)-3,7-dimethyl-9-(2,6,6-trimethyl-1-cyclohexen-1-yl)-2,4,6,8-nonatetraenoic acid. It is a member of the retinoid class of compounds and a metabolite of naturally occurring Vitamin A. Tretinoin has a molecular weight of 300.44, a molecular formula of C 20 H 28 O 2 and the following chemical structure: Each gram of Tretinoin Gel Microsphere, 0.1%, contains 1 mg of tretinoin. Each gram of Tretinoin Gel Microsphere, 0.08%, contains 0.8 mg of tretinoin. Each gram of Tretinoin Gel Microsphere, 0.04%, contains 0.4 mg of tretinoin. The formulation contains methyl methacrylate/glycol dimethacrylate crosspolymer (MICROSPONGE ® System), propylene glycol dicaprylate/dicaprate and butylated hydroxytoluene to enable inclusion of the active ingredient, tretinoin, in an aqueous gel. Other components consist of benzyl alcohol, butylated hydroxytoluene, carbomer 974P, cyclomethicone and dimethicone copolyol, disodium EDTA, glycerin, PPG-20 methyl glucose ether distearate, propylene glycol, purified water, sorbic acid, and trolamine. chemstructure.jpg
