TIROSINT (levothyroxine sodium) capsules for oral use contain synthetic L-3,3',5,5'-tetraiodothyronine sodium salt [levothyroxine (T 4 ) sodium]. Synthetic T4 is chemically identical to that produced in the human thyroid gland. Levothyroxine (T4) sodium has an empirical formula of C 15 H 10 I 4 NNaO 4 ∙ x H 2 O (where x = 5), molecular weight of 798.86 g/mol (anhydrous), and structural formula as shown: TIROSINT (levothyroxine sodium) capsules are amber-colored, round/biconvex capsules containing a viscous amber-colored liquid. FLECTOR (diclofenac epolamine) topical system 1.3% is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug for topical application. FLECTOR is a 10 cm × 14 cm topical system comprised of an adhesive material containing 1.3% diclofenac epolamine which is applied to a non-woven polyester felt backing and covered with a polypropylene film release liner. The release liner is removed prior to topical application to the skin. The chemical name of diclofenac epolamine is 2-[(2,6-dichlorophenyl) amino]benzeneacetic acid, (2-(pyrrolidin-1-yl) ethanol salt, with a molecular formula of C 20 H 24 Cl 2 N 2 O 3, and molecular weight 411.3, an n-octanol/water partition coefficient of 8 at pH 8.5, and the following chemical structure: Each adhesive FLECTOR topical system contains 180 mg of diclofenac epolamine (13 mg per gram adhesive) in an aqueous base.
