AUVELITY is a combination of dextromethorphan hydrobromide, an uncompetitive NMDA receptor antagonist and sigma-1 receptor agonist, and bupropion hydrochloride, an aminoketone and CYP450 2D6 inhibitor. The chemical name of dextromethorphan hydrobromide is morphinan, 3- methoxy-17-methyl-, (9α, 13α, 14α), hydrobromide monohydrate. Dextromethorphan hydrobromide has the empirical formula C 18 H 25 NO•HBr•H 2 O and a molecular weight of 370.33 (271.4 dextromethorphan base).
