It is a white to off-white crystalline powder, hygroscopic that is freely soluble in methanol, soluble in ethanol (96 %), sparingly soluble in water, practically insoluble in chloroform and in ether. The molecular weight is 318.14. Its molecular formula is CHClNNaO and it has the following structural formula: Each 1 mL of solution contains 16.05 mg of diclofenac sodium.
