ANNOVERA (segesterone acetate and ethinyl estradiol vaginal system) is a toroidal- shaped (ring), nonbiodegradable, flexible, opaque white vaginal system containing two active components, a progestin, segesterone acetate, and an estrogen, ethinyl estradiol. When placed in the vagina, each ANNOVERA releases an approximate average 0.15 mg/day of segesterone acetate and 0.013 mg/day of ethinyl estradiol over the 21 days in-use period of each cycle for up to 13 cycles (total of 273 days). Each cycle is 28 days, with 21 days in and 7 days out. The inactive ingredients are dibutyltin dilaurate, silicone elastomers, silicone medical adhesive, and titanium dioxide. The elastomers are all methyl siloxane-based polymers. The vaginal system body has an overall diameter of 56 mm and a cross-sectional diameter of 8.4 mm. It contains two channels of approximately 3.0 mm diameter and 27 mm length into which steroid-containing cores are inserted. Hailey 1.5/30 (norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol tablets USP) provides a continuous dosage regimen consisting of 21 light green to green oral contraceptive tablets. Each light green to green tablet, for oral administration, contains 1.5 mg norethindrone acetate, USP [(17α)-17-(acetyloxy)-19-norpregn-4-en-20-yn-3-one] and 30 mcg ethinyl estradiol, USP [19-Nor-17α-pregna-1,3,5(10)-trien-20-yne-3,17-diol]. The tablets also contain the following inactive ingredients: acacia, corn starch, D&C Yellow #10, FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Yellow #6, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, sucrose, and talc. Haloette (etonogestrel and ethinyl estradiol vaginal ring) is a non-biodegradable, flexible, transparent, colorless to almost colorless, combination contraceptive vaginal ring containing two active components, a progestin, etonogestrel (13-ethyl-17-hydroxy-11-methylene-18,19-dinor-17α-pregn-4-en-20-yn-3-one) and an estrogen, ethinyl estradiol (19-nor-17α-pregna-1,3,5(10)-trien-20-yne-3,17-diol). When placed in the vagina, each ring releases on average 0.120 mg/day of etonogestrel and 0.015 mg/day of ethinyl estradiol over a three-week period of use. Haloette is made of ethylene vinylacetate copolymers (28% and 9% vinylacetate) and magnesium stearate and contains 11.7 mg etonogestrel and 2.7 mg ethinyl estradiol. Haloette is not made with natural rubber latex. Haloette has an outer diameter of 54 mm and a cross-sectional diameter of 4 mm.
