The tablets contain buprenorphine HCL, a partial agonist at the mu‐opioid receptor, and are available in two dosage strengths, 2 mg buprenorphine and 8 mg buprenorphine (as free base, equivalent to 2.16 mg buprenorphine hydrochloride USP and 8.64 mg buprenorphine hydrochloride USP). Each tablet also contains citric acid, cornstarch, lactose monohydrate, mannitol, povidone K30, sodium citrate anhydrous and sodium stearyl fumarate. The 2 mg buprenorphine tablet is debossed with a "2" on one side and an "→" on the other. The 8 mg buprenorphine tablet is debossed with a "8" on one side and an "→" on the other.
